Boot withouth connecting the Kholer on the USB hub, ( this is very important) Boot without kholer connected then install the software and drivers from your CD that came in the box. When it asks you to restart, dont, instead shut down.

Then restart your Antec V Chill Application and you should be fine. Keep in mind that if you change your USB configuration later on this might occur again for some random reason i cant explain but restar two times to make sure your settings have been saved and then you are ready to run your CPU to the maximum. THis solution worked for me.

I tried to run the USB Bootloader application inside the Antec CC folder and got this: 'Error Reading USBXpress Driver version'. And it won't let me do anything with that program. The Antec guys don't have anymore ideas, and instructed me to sent the Kuhler back to where I purchased it cause the USB module may be defective. During their troubleshooting process, they did send me a link to a new driver/software version: Didn't help me, but maybe it'll help someone else.

RE: Antec 920 Software Install Problem, Windows does not Recognize Installed Chill Control Software prior to install of Antec 920 cooler and the connection to internal USB and CPU fan header. Shows ERROR cannot connect to USB Chill Control device. Windows tries to load the driver but fails. I've spent hours trying to get it to work. Also, unit will only function with USB plugged with black wire on left (not on right per instruction). It does not work at all when installed with black wire to right. Unit appears to be working at idle with low fan speed (blueish/white light glows from unit).

I tried switching between the two with no change. Cooler uses one of the mobo usb headers for control. If you leave it unplugged, the fans will run at highest speed. Once you plug the usb back in, the cooler reverts to running in silent mode.

There is no software for it. It is controlled automatically by the integrated firmware. ___________________________________________________________________________ Wrong:no:- it comes with the Antec Grid software disk- I lost it too. Why would he say that? This is the link for the 'new beta 2.1 version' from July 17th 2015 If that link is brokem, use this one. It's a RAR file so you'll need WinRAR or something to unpack it Good Luck!

I've been trying for hours to get this thing working properly. Brand new build: Asrock Z68 Professional Gen3 2600k GTX570 Corsair Vengence 16gigs Crucial 128gig SSD VelociRaptor 150gig Omega Claro Win 7 Pro 64 SP1 Everything is working good except the cooler. The software installs fine, but not the drivers. The device does work, but without the drivers working, I can't control the fan speeds and what not with Chill Control V. When I run the software, I get 'Cannot connect to Chill Control device. Check USB connection on device and restart the Chill Control Application'.

Under Devices and Printers, the cooler shows up as an unknown device. Won't let me manually update the drivers when I troubleshoot the device. Give me 'Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems.

New: Added posibility to enter values from keyboard. Improved: Pump speed gauge output readings (more stable). Fixed: Adjusted noise level range. Fixed: Minor graphical issue.

THis solution worked for me. Good luck friend.

But I still can't get windows to recognize the cooler. Leads me to believe there's a compatibility issue with Win 7 Pro 64bit and the drivers for this thing. Click to expand.Could you explain that a little more?

Like the CC control pannel and the drivers. Boot withouth connecting the Kholer on the USB hub, ( this is very important) Boot without kholer connected then install the software and drivers from your CD that came in the box. Amd radeon hd 7310 update. When it asks you to restart, dont, instead shut down. Then connect the Kholer to the USB port in your motherboard. After that boot and you will get an error message one last time but right after windows will notify you that your ANTEC CC device is ready to use with a green checkmark. Then restart your Antec V Chill Application and you should be fine. Keep in mind that if you change your USB configuration later on this might occur again for some random reason i cant explain but restar two times to make sure your settings have been saved and then you are ready to run your CPU to the maximum.

Idle temp about 30C at idle. Have since removed software, unplugged the USB connection, disabled driver signing, reinstalled and rebooted several times to no avail. Again, the unit appears to be working and keeping temps in reasonable levels but i'd like to get some use out of the software paid for and which controls fans speed, etc.

Am I just going to wait for a new driver version to try, or is this thing broke? Cooler has a 3-pin power connection. Motherboard has 2 cpu fan connections, one 3 pin, one 4 pin. I tried switching between the two with no change.

Good luck friend.
